In Spring 2025, our most recent cohort of adult trainees successfully completed the Dirt Corps Spring 2025 RainWise Training Program and Western Washington Regional GSI Curriculum. Over seven weeks, they accumulated a breadth of technical knowledge, field experience, and best-practice expertise in topics including green infrastructure, urban forestry, riparian restoration, native plant identification, wetland ecology, revegetation principles, noxious weed management, grattix box installation, cistern design, small business development, and strategies for stewarding our neighborhood open spaces.

They learned from and engaged with a variety of community partners and industry leaders in the green workforce sector, including those specialized in the fields of environmental engineering, landscape design, project management, community engagement, horticulture, and construction. Through these experiences, each trainee explored a variety of green career opportunities.
